As the 2026 cricket season draws to a close, we're proud to look back on our season as sponsors of Penwortham Cricket Club. From match balls to the club's YouTube live stream, Roberts & Co has been part of the action at Middleforth Green all summer long, and we've loved every minute of it.

Our sponsorship this season

This year we backed the club in three ways:

•Five match balls – every one of them bowled, hit and chased across the outfield in the name of local cricket.

•The club's YouTube live feed – helping family, friends and supporters follow the action from home, wherever they are

•A pitch-side advertising board – so if you've been down to watch a game, you'll have spotted us on the boundary.

About Penwortham Cricket Club

Penwortham Cricket Club has been at the heart of the Penwortham community since 1880. Based at Middleforth Green, the club offers a place for people of all ages to play, watch and enjoy cricket.

It's been another busy year at the ground, with the club continuing to develop and improve its facilities, both on and off the field. Behind it all is a dedicated committee, a squad of committed players and a loyal band of supporters.

A word from the Chairman

We were delighted to receive a note from the club's Chairman at the end of the season. He said:

"We're incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic group of sponsors and local businesses behind the club. Your support genuinely makes a difference and helps us continue to improve the club, both on and off the field."

He also reflected on what makes the club special:

Why we support local community groups
